Kordsmen, Kenneth Stevens Inducted into the Johnny Appleseed District Hall of Fame

Kenneth D. Stevens (Ken) was inducted into the Johnny Appleseed District (JAD) of the Barbershop Harmony Society’s Hall of Fame on Saturday October 19th during the JAD Fall convention and contest.

Ken a longtime barbershoper has been a member of the JAD Events Team, along with his wife Sharon, have been preparing the convention program and doing registration first as a member of the Registration section and then it’s Chairman for most of the last two decades. He has also been awarded a Directors Key man award from the Greater Kanawha Valley Chapter of the JAD (The Kanawha Kordsmen), and Barbershoper of the year for the Huntington Tri-state Chapter of the JAD (The ThunderTones).

Ken sings every chance he gets and currently is a member of two chapters, and two quartets (Uncle Ernie’s Boys and Quad). He also administers the Kordsmen.org website for the Greater Kanawha Valley Chapter. While he is not doing anything else he is on the board of both of his chapters as VP of Music and Performance for the ThunderTones and was just elected as the 2014 VP of Marketing and Public Relations for the Kordsmen.
